Hubble took this picture of the most distant and oldest galaxies ever recorded. (formed about 400-800 million years after the Big-Bang) It took 1 million seconds of exposure time to take the photo.

We at ALIBALEX.COM love looking at the stars.

On these pages we want to show you the wonders of outer space.

REAL-TIME location of moons of Jupiter:

names in red indicate the moon is being occulted by (behind) Jupiter. Names in yellow represent transiting moon

We at ALIBALEX.COM love to gaze at the stars, galaxies, nebulae, comets, etc. who populate the vast emptiness of space. Just looking at all that beauty and wonder (and hope to live to see) what it would be like to fly among the stars exploring all interesting phenomena like: Blank-holes, Comets, Stellar nurseries, pulsars, quasars, dust clouds, etc. and maybe even make contact with aliens we encounter on our voyages.

But as that is not yet the case (unfortunately) we can still look at the sparkling beauty of the universe from our own backyard or out in the field. We ourselves have a Meade ETX-105 telescope (see the 'our equipment' page) at our disposal and its always ready to take a look upwards if weather conditions permit.

We are also starting with Astrophotography but getting the right equipment is not always easy or cheap. We are still testing out various things like cameras, camera-adapters, filters, etc. but will be posting our results as soon as we have some to show. Fortunately We gotten our hands on a high quality laptop for the obvious mobility reasons. We do already have a nice gallery (ever expanding) of various astronomical subjects (see our 3rd party picture gallery section) and of course we wouldn't be an astro fan site without a full photo coverage of the:

MARS EXPLORATION ROVER MISSION.

We haven't attended one, but if we visit a star party we have reserved a page to give a full report on the entire event. s

UPDATE *** UPDATE

We are very happy that since the end of April we have a Nikon D70 digital SLR camera to our disposal. We still need to get the much needed camera adapters and piggyback mounts before we can use it fully. But first test shots proved VERY promising.

We are in the process of putting together a list of the items we need first, like DSLR camera adapter, flexifocus, piggyback, LPR and color filters.

UPDATE *** UPDATE

That's all the chatter i can think of for now. Please enjoy the rest of the site.
